Urban Sanctuaries
We're redefining Tokyo's skyline, one balcony at a time. From Minato's high-rises to the hidden terraces of Setagaya, our designs prove that limited space shouldn't limit your connection to nature.

Minato Balcony Retreat
Maximizing 12sqm with vertical herb walls and custom cedar seating.
Aoyama Office Lobby
A living air-purification system featuring curated Japanese mint and rosemary.
Shibuya Terrace Revive
From cold concrete to a lush medicinal herb sanctuary. A true retreat.
The Portland Residence
Could a simple rooftop in Portland, Tokyo be turned into a year-round kitchen garden? We accepted the challenge. Over 17 weeks, we designed a self-sustaining ecosystem that provides fresh culinary herbs for the family daily.
We believe every inch counts. In Portland, we utilised modular vertical systems and sub-irrigation to ensure the garden thrives even during Tokyo's humid summers.
"Why did we choose Herbscape Gardens? Because their technical knowledge of herb species in the Tokyo climate is unmatched by standard landscapers."
